Aotearoa Permaculture Workshop: Funding Campaign.

CLIENT | Aotearoa Permaculture Workshop (APW)
OUR ROLE | Campaign Strategy Development, Readiness & Delivery Support

After a period of dormancy, Aotearoa Permaculture Workshop (APW) was ready to embark on its next chapter: the completion and launch of its new Foundation Programme.

The Foundation Programme translates more than a decade of on-the-ground teaching and over 20 years of professional practice into a learning pathway that is accessible, flexible and scalable. Designed to support current and future generations of practitioners, it creates a shared foundation for regenerative thinking and practice in Aotearoa.

Done worked alongside APW to develop the strategy, messaging, campaign architecture and delivery roadmap for a nationwide crowdfunding campaign. Rather than positioning the campaign as a traditional fundraising exercise, the work focused on framing it as community-supported education, inviting people to actively participate in bringing the programme to life and helping unlock its future potential.

Our role included campaign strategy, audience identification, narrative development, communications planning, messaging frameworks, supporter pathways and campaign readiness support. Working closely with the APW team, we helped create the structure, tools and confidence needed for the organisation to lead the campaign and steward relationships with supporters, partners and donors.

The campaign successfully raised the funding required to complete and launch the first Foundation Programme course, reactivating APW and creating momentum for a new phase of delivery. More importantly, it demonstrated the power of communities to invest directly in the knowledge, skills and capabilities they want to see flourish.

For Done, this kaupapa reflects a growing area of practice focused on helping communities, organisations and networks unlock investment, mobilise resources and create lasting value.
