What matters most to us is working on kaupapa and with people whose core purpose and values align with ours. Beyond that, we design services that respond to the unique needs and context of each kaupapa, place, and people.
Regenerative Project Management
We offer end-to-end regenerative project management that is grounded, responsive, and values-led. Our approach weaves together environmental responsibility, cultural integrity, and social wellbeing to deliver regenerative outcomes for Aotearoa. We support clients to grow the seed of an idea into a viable project, and then nurture it through delivery to completion.
Sometimes, a kaupapa doesn’t require our full and holistic end-to-end service. In these cases, our small and nimble team adapts to offer targeted support for specific project components, including:
-
Many people find the first steps of a kaupapa to be the most daunting ones. We ease that nervousness and help to cultivate energy that gets a project moving. We provide strategic support to set kaupapa up for success—clarifying purpose, values, and pathways forward. We craft compelling business cases and funding applications, as well as clear project briefs. We help shape and procure a team that is values-aligned and fit for purpose.
-
The positive impact of Mana Whenua leadership and partnership in projects is immense. That’s why we do whatever it takes to support this mahi. We work alongside marae, hapū and iwi to support iwi-led kaupapa, and help multiple iwi to collaborate effectively with each other and with other stakeholders. We also support non-iwi clients to build meaningful, enduring partnerships with iwi—grounded in respect and reciprocity.
Our role often includes facilitation, coordination, and strategic input that upholds the integrity of partnerships and results in tangible, high-quality deliverables and outcomes.
-
We embed regenerative principles and practice into project thinking, design, and delivery—guided by mātauranga Māori, ecological intelligence and at times, environmental frameworks.
-
We apply holistic, whole-systems thinking to the strategic planning and coordination of design workflows. Our approach centres on collaboration—within project teams and with communities—to shape solutions that are not only technically sound but culturally and contextually responsive.
-
Whether we’re seeking valuable community feedback, celebrating project success, or keeping communities and partners informed, we help clients to tell the stories they’re proud of. Community engagement and collaboration is different every time, but it’s always transformative. We’ve worked alongside communities to build 5,000 earth bricks, renovate marae throughout the motu, regenerate water catchments, propagate seeds, char timber.
-
We provide independent, values-led advice and review to strengthen kaupapa alignment, integrity, and regenerative potential. Our input is clear, constructive, and grounded in experience—helping teams stay true to their purpose and supporting excellence.

Ko Samantha McGavock ahau.
Through her whakapapa, Sam recognises that we are deeply connected to the environment rather than separate from it, and she operates in unwavering alignment with this notion. ‘Ko au te taiao, te taiao ko au’.
Sam holds a Masters of Architecture and is both a Regenerative Practitioner and Living Futures Accredited Professional who is immersed in Te Ao Māori. She utilises these perspectives to manage projects which emphasise the interconnectedness of living systems and the continued regeneration of those systems for the benefit of both people and place.
Sam is the founder and Kaihautū (Director) of Done. As a Regenerative Project Manager, she leads the Done team and works alongside clients, project teams, communities, iwi, hapū and marae to deliver transformational projects.
In addition to project work, Sam enjoys roles which expand her horizons and allow her to contribute to industry capacity building more broadly, such as by co-facilitating a professional accreditation course with the Living Future Institute of Australia and as an Auckland Urban Design Panel member.
Janna Mara | Kaiwhakahaere Whakahou Hononga | Regeneration & Engagement Manager.
Following 20 years in strategic marketing, communications and project management mahi in the health sector, Janna found that her own health and happiness is strongly influenced by nature and her connection to it. She followed her passion and retrained in Landscape Design at the Unitec School of Architecture, achieving distinction.
With this combination of experience, knowledge and skills, along with her training as a Regenerative Practitioner, Janna is well-equipped to help drive Done’s projects as Regeneration & Engagement Manager.
Janna’s affinity with te taiao and connection to Done. values are strong; “I want to make an impact at a level that benefits both the health of our precious whenua and the communities that she sustains”.
