our values.

Manaaki Taiao: Ecological Care

  • We honour the mauri of the natural world.

  • Our work regenerates whole ecological health, recognising that people and place thrive together.

Whānaungatanga: Connectedness

  • We treat our clients, teams, and communities like the whānau they are.

  • We foster an environment that normalises and enables a healthy whānau/mahi balance.

Ngākau Pono: Integrity

  • We are honest and reliable.

  • We do what we say we’ll do, when we say we’ll do it, even when no one is watching.

Whakangāwari: Ease & Adaptability

  • We adapt to evolving, dynamic environments with ease, and help others navigate change and uncertainty.

  • We simplify complexity - offering clear, practical solutions that reduce overwhelm and empower action.

What matters most to us is working on kaupapa and with people whose purpose and values align with ours. Beyond that, we design services that respond to the unique needs and context of each kaupapa, place, and people.

our core services.

  • We support clients to grow the seed of an idea into a viable project and then nurture it through delivery to completion. Our approach integrates environmental responsibility, cultural integrity and economic and social wellbeing to deliver regenerative outcomes for Aotearoa.

Our role is not just to manage projects. It is to hold the kaupapa, embed tikanga, and ensure that every decision reflects the values and aspirations of the communities and environments we serve.

  • Mana Whenua leadership transforms projects. That’s why we go above and beyond to support kaupapa led by marae, hapū and iwi.

We’ve been trusted by iwi to manage kaupapa of significance - work that requires deep care, cultural acumen, and strategic clarity. We help iwi collaborate effectively - with each other and with other stakeholders - to achieve both individual and collective aspirations.

We also support clients to build meaningful, enduring partnerships with iwi, grounded in respect and reciprocity. Our role often includes facilitation, coordination and strategic input that upholds the integrity of relationships and delivers a high-quality process and tangible results.

  • We lead the strategic planning and coordination of design workflows through an approach that weaves together people, place, and process. Grounded in whole-systems thinking, our mahi supports project teams to navigate complexity, align intentions, and deliver outcomes that are technically robust, culturally grounded, and regenerative by design.

Regenerative Design Management ensures that design isn’t just coordinated, it’s connected. It enables projects to move with clarity, integrity, and collective momentum, from concept to delivery.

additional capabilities.

We bring a range of specialist skills into projects when needed, including:

  • Strategic support to get projects moving - clarifying purpose, values and pathways forward. We craft compelling business cases, funding applications, project briefs and plans, and help shape and procure values-aligned teams.

  • Embedding regenerative principles into project thinking, design and delivery - guided by mātauranga Māori and ecological intelligence. We work to create the conditions where mauri is uplifted, vitality is restored, and relationships between people and place endure.

  • Strategies and actions that spark genuine interest, build trust, and create momentum. We work alongside partners and communities to shape direction, surface insight, and co-create impact.

  • Independent, values-led input to strengthen kaupapa alignment, integrity, and regenerative potential. Our advice is clear, constructive, and grounded in experience.

  • Research, trialling and co-creation of materials that are environmentally sound, culturally resonant, and economically ethical. We consider the full lifecycle of materials and ensure every choice contributes meaningfully to the kaupapa and the whenua it inhabits.

  • On-the-ground support through the most demanding phases. Organising volunteers, sourcing additional funding, and hands-on input to help projects get ‘done’.

Ko Samantha McGavock ahau.

Through her whakapapa, Sam recognises that we are deeply connected to the environment rather than separate from it, and she operates in unwavering alignment with this notion. ‘Ko au te taiao, te taiao ko au’.

Sam holds a Masters of Architecture and is both a Regenerative Practitioner and Living Futures Accredited Professional who is immersed in Te Ao Māori. She utilises these perspectives to manage projects which emphasise the interconnectedness of living systems and the continued regeneration of those systems for the benefit of both people and place.

Sam is the founder and Kaihautū (Director) of Done. As a Regenerative Project Manager, she leads the Done team and works alongside clients, project teams, communities, iwi, hapū and marae to deliver transformational projects.

In addition to project work, Sam enjoys roles which expand her horizons and allow her to contribute to industry capacity building more broadly, such as by co-facilitating a professional accreditation course with the Living Future Institute of Australia and as an Auckland Urban Design Panel member.
