OUR ROLE | Regenerative Project Management

Puhinui Maaori Outcomes supports Ngaati Tamaoho and Ngaati Te Ata Waiohua to realise their kaitiakitanga and partnership aspirations in relation to Te Whakaoranga o Te Puhinui, a multigenerational strategy to regenerate Te Puhinui catchment and return ora (wellbeing) to the people and places of Te Puhinui.

Done is proud to provide Regenerative Project Management services for this inspiring mahi. Project partners, local communities, and workstream leaders work together to embed Waiohua maatauranga (wisdom) by;

  • Increasing the presence and visibility of Te Reo Waiohua while building capacity, capability, and confidence about the nuances of Te Reo Waiohua conventions (the double vowel), local kupu and whakatauki.

  • Building understanding and use of a Waiohua-centred Maramataka dial, (a calendar aligned to local Maramataka) and tirotiro (nature observations) to guide the planning of events, planting and other activities.

  • Creating visual storytelling resources to communicate and celebrate Te Whakaoranga o Te Puhinui and the projects, initiatives, activities, and activations within it – while capturing changes in Te Puhinui through time.

  • Monitoring and evaluating the individual and aggregated impact of activities on the oranga of Te Puhinui catchment.

  • Supporting a range of community organisations to regenerate the taiao of Te Puhinui.
